As I was browsing my inbox, I was able to see this good news from the news letter subscription from Philippine Fashion Week. The team is bringing back Supermodel Philippines – one of the renowned modelling competition which is considered a platform for aspiring Filipino models to secure a lucrative modelling contract, and an opportunity to make it overseas. The last time we’ve heard of the local competition was way back 2012 during Philippine Fashion Week S/S 2013, where they declared May Ann Naguit (Cal Carries PH) and Gerard Go (PMAP) as winners. However, the last international delegate that we have is Samantha Gomez since Ford Supermodel of the World did not have an international rounds during Mary Ann’s win.

There is still no news if there will be an international competition for Ford Supermodel of the World just like before. As for the male applicants- details are not yet given but there’s a newsletter with Bernie Guinto’s card and career achievement, meaning there could be a possibility of having male species on the the contest. If this will be solely held as a local competition, we hope that the people behind them will select faces that could make it overseas, and can be introduced to their partner agencies (Wilhemina and Ford NY).

Bless the models!
