Sidney Perez-Sio S/S 2015 for Philippine Fashion Week

Cool, sporty and tomboyish. All girls remember those teenage years of recklessly riding bikes and playing outdoor games with the boys. The throwback memories have been relieved by designer wonder Mr. Sidney Perez-Sio, where the mannish appeal has been the focal point of his latest collection. Shining fabrics cut into a barong form, bearing that mid-century embroidery glided the runway with off-grid aura. Other pieces like the cropped and cuff pants; short shorts; long dresses; and the sheer blazer made from fiber leaves are also a true stand out.

Perhaps keeping the femme persona in the boy zone is the trick to redefine a wardrobe. Maybe it’s against our grandmas teachings. But if this will extend and encompass a woman’s taste, then it’s absolutely fine to break the rules just like Mr. Sidney’s thinking.
