We know her from her spread on French Vogue that stirred a lot of reaction from the masses. To cut the story short, the editorial has transformed the sweet heart image of the then-10 year old model into something racy which is not really appropriate for her age. It is not the first time we’ve seen magazines pushed the limits but the photos has exaggerated the “youth obsession” of the fashion industry. This attempt to introduce a new idea of what is beautiful has been fully criticized and viewed as promoting sexualisation of young girls.

With all the outrage that happened, Thylane Blondeau is still on the fashion circuit gracing the April 2014 cover of Jalouse magazine. The teenage fashion model is wearing Christian Dior in a styling that is fit for an adolescent. We can never abandon the fact that she has a big future to be the next catwalk sensation or the next Brooke Shields, whom she shared a similar tune in career beginnings (well the level of Brooke’s pics are more provocative to be honest). Regardless of this, we would be happier to see her enjoy her early teenage life as it is before she gets serious to the business. A promising future is good for as long as she is presented and managed the right way.
