Designers are just being crazy with the 60s wave as we’ve seen one again from Gucci’s latest collection. The pieces are palette of rich pastels, animal print and monochrome focused in British sophisticated style. A-line skirts and fitted pants walked down the runway coupled with nerdy aviators. Being a four-eyed fashionista can be fun for fall since the glasses’ frame are splashed with color, but we are not really sure if the translucent glass will protect us from the sun’s glare. Knee-high boots are making a statement and dramatic coats are tailored with clean lines making the collection consistent to its refined taste. Dresses are made to look sexy with its form-fitting cut. Some are kept minimal and polished and some are incorporated with dainty details.
The Gucci girl for fall seems to know what she wants. She is clever and embraces clothing with complexity dating back from its beginnings. This what Creative Director Frida Gianini has channelled and this collection has clearly spoken to her vision.
