As the saying goes, “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder”, but it is Tamara Weijenberg (model name) who holds the beauty that stuns every eye. She participated and won Holland’s Next Top Model cycle 5 (2011) where she captivated the judges with her bold features that reminds us of the young Brooke Shields on the hit movie Blue Lagoon. Although emerging from a reality show, she managed to break its stigma, just like Alice Burdeu (winner of AuNTM c3) and Patricia van der Vliet (finalist on HNTM c4). After the show, she immediately switched agency from Touche, which is a part of her prize package to Future Faces (Amsterdam).  She then immediately signed with Elite NYC and followed representations with Union Models (London), Why Not (Milan) and Oui Management (Paris) thus opening opportunities overseas. She participated on Alexander Wang S/S13 and selected as one of the models appearing on a Miu Miu ad, making her a girl to watch-out for.

Her best asset is her long hair, bushy brows and crystal blue eyes that is why I tried to emphasized those at the drawing. She is really beautiful, but sometimes, it translates into a femme-handsome face (don’t get me wrong here) that is really perfect for editorials. I love the fact that she is in high fashion, but she can manage to cross-over to high-end commercial jobs similar to Behati Prinsloo who does mainstream and luxury high fashion since her classic beauty and bangin’ body fits the criteria of this market.  In the coming months, Victoria’s Secret’s team will be casting new girls for sure and I am hoping Elite NY will send her to the open call and eventually be booked for the show. Cross fingers!

Bless the models!!!
