Each season, the fashion industry is always on the search for a new face that they can transform into the so-called “IT GIRL”. But is a different case for model Bette Franke. She is the living example that models does not have to be a new comer to garner the hype and attention. Hailing from the Netherlands, she has been around since S/S 2006 strutting the runways of Emmanuel Ungaro and Hermes. She has been absent for couple of seasons, but her come back on S/S 2012 prove that clients are still wanting to book her.

Bless with an elegant beauty, she has both commercial and high fashion jobs under her resume showing her flexibility in the industry. Judging her exterior, we can say that her beauty (and career) blossoms as she ages. Her current success is a combination of persistence and trust from her agents and the fashion industry.

Sketching her backstage photo is quite a challenge especially when it comes to highlighting her best features – Balearic blue eyes and pillowed lips. I’ve used a no. 2 pencil and fabre castle color pencils to finish a drawing replica of her picture. For sure, this is not the last time that I’m going to draw her since her other sketch art is already on the works. Perhaps, I and the whole industry are just captured by her spell =).

Bless the Models!!!
